Treat yourself to your very first scuba diving experience in Saint-Leu, in the heart of Réunion Island’s lagoon. Accessible with no prior experience, a discovery dive allows you to explore scuba diving safely, accompanied by a certified state-qualified instructor.
After a simple and reassuring briefing, you will head out to explore the volcanic seabed, home to colorful tropical fish and sometimes sea turtles. A unique experience to breathe underwater and enjoy a magical moment within the Saint-Leu marine reserve.

Kids’ Discovery Dive
The discovery dive is available from 8 years old.
Depending on age, the maximum depth is limited, but the experience remains the same: corals, trumpetfish, surgeonfish, triggerfish… enough to create unforgettable memories.
With personalized, one-to-one guidance, our instructors adapt to each child to ensure this first diving experience is safe, reassuring, and truly successful.

After a trial dive, you can take part in a diving introduction course. A one-hour session will teach you the basics of diving: preparing your equipment, moving around underwater, surfacing safely, and more.
This experience can be shared with others, as an instructor can take up to four divers provided safety conditions are met.
If you wish to take your first level within six months of this introductory session, this session can be counted towards your training with us or at any SSI centre worldwide.

Has your introductory dive made you want to explore even further?
The best way forward is to complete your first diving qualification: the Open Water course.
This qualification allows you to dive with an instructor to a depth of 18 metres anywhere in the world. It’s valid for life!
You’ll need to set aside six half-days, which we’ll arrange to suit your availability and sea conditions.
The introductory dive is often the spark… Open Water is the start of the adventure.

The SSI Scuba Diver course is an excellent way to get started gently.
Shorter than an Open Water course, it allows you to obtain your first internationally recognised certification. You’ll learn the essential basics of diving and be able to dive to a depth of 12 metres, always accompanied by a professional.
It’s the ideal option if you’re short on time or if you want to progress step by step, whilst enjoying the stunning seabed of Saint-Leu.
